Whatever happened to Damon's blog?

I used to post interesting things on this blog. Like this entry when China Week was happening on the BBC. Or this fantastic entry about oranges. Or this entry about underground worlds beneath cities: like secret cinemas below Paris and the history and culture of London's tube system.

And now look what it's turned into ... a place to whinge about pain.

I had started this blog to cure my writers blokc and get creative ideas out of me in an admittedly not perfect but useful way hence the name 'do your worst'. What happened? Sheesh, Damon, pull your socks up (carefully tho, it'll hurt)

Hi, my friend told me about your blog you have here and I too think it's great. I really like it when people compliment my blog so I'm doing that for you. Hope you don't mind, I bookmarked your site.
I too have a site about Rashguards and Surf Shirts, and some other things. Feel free to check it out. It isn't anything special but if you have an interest in surfing, sports apparel or Rashguards you may find it useful.

I think your blog is great Damon, I find it interesting, and you do post interesting stuff on it, despite what you say about it!

Your blog is like a soapbox where you can say pretty much anything on it.

I think you are creative and you have lots of great opinions about stuff and sometimes done in a humourous way. We all have our own ways of dealing with pain and you must have felt very depressed and miserable but you overcame it to return back to your normal routine.

I keep thinking my blog is boring but I still write down about what I am feeling or anything which I think is interesting for others to read.

There are things going on though in my mind that I don't feel putting down on it but I have to cope with it in another way by seeing my counsellor.

Keep up the blog Damon, I love reading all your news and what's happening with you!

If you ever feel like a break from your blog, come and visit mine if you want to see what's happening with me!

Just to tell you, how useful your blog is: Until about four months ago I did not have the faintest idea what " a blog" or "blogging" could be. As I did not want to show how old and stupid I am, I secretly set off to find out more about it. Long time ago a blind friend of mine told me that regular visits to "Blindkiss" are an absolut must have, so I have become a regular visior to that site and could vaguely remember having read the word "Blog" there (your link to this site). This is how I found out what blogging is about, found links to other blogs, and so on. I thought it was a great idea to just write down whatever occurs to your mind. And all this without ever having read your blogs about Oranges or Underground worlds ( I will browse your archive for them....I seem to have missed out something!) I am a happy blogger myself now. Credit yourself for that. Well, I have done too much typing...hands still ache!

Aw, c'mon, Damon, everyone's entitled to a whinge sometimes. You should see mine!

Ah Damon, for a truly whiny post you should read my post today, "The Dreaded Phone Calls," it never ends!
Talk about boring my readers :P

Seriously though, your blog is wonderfully personal and insightful. That's part of why we love it!

Damon, with your show and writing you have me me laugh very hard indeed even when I was having some tough moments.

So here's back at you -

You are hysterically funny, witty and charming. I also think your writing is terrific. It's honest funny, very approachable and oh yeah - funny.

Sorry for the rough stuff going your way. As for your blog, don't think I've ever read a word that wasn't terribly interesting and oh yeah - funny.

Your work with Blinkiss had me purchasing new technology just to enjoy the shows. I laughed and laughed and every month at the end of the show I listened to I began to feel that anxious long wait all through the weeks until a new show would arrive. If I was a bigger fan I'd be paying rent in your flat and, there are many many folks who feel just the same as I do.

From San Francisco on a sunny cool day

Cole ... thanks very much! I'm rather taken aback! Maybe we should start doing BlindKiss again.

Well, I'm not sure if my first attempt to reply posted.
I got confused about my user name.
It was something to this effect:
Please, please, please, bring back blind kiss talk shows!
Love the blind kiss, love Ouch!
Love the Damon Blog, and the other blogs it has pointed me to.
I'm for Katie's wonderful bath idea. I love floating in luxury, while drinking a frozen drink, and talking on the phone.
Happy belated birthday!
I'm off, in search of green burritos.
Bear with me while I learn how to work this blogging thing!

Howdy Damon,
I'm impressed with what you wrote here in your Whatever happened to Damon's blog? post. I gave up my search for girls rash guards information and wanted to hang out here on your blog - well done. I might make a blog like yours about girls rash guards, but I wouldn't try to compete with you. You're doing a great job Damon.
You got a great thing going... by friend.

Damon, I need a little inspiration... I've read your post 'Whatever happened to Damon's blog?', I enjoyed it so I decided to comment. I've been thinking about my blog and how there are all these people posting strange comments there. Maybe you understand, I'm not sure, but it's tiring to read the numbers of comments that don't have much to do with my stuff. My normal rash guard website never suffers this because it just sells rash guard and isn't a blog. Do you have any ideas for how to stop the cluttering of non-relevant comments? Thanks for your great blog. Tips are always welcome...

good day -

Okay Damon, I don't know if you can help me, but I think maybe you will understand. I see all this crazy blog spam everywhere (I see some here) and I'm wondering if you know how we can stop it. I just have a site about grappling rash guards, and I can't even go find information on grappling rash guards without having to filter through all the junk. My blog gets totally bombarded with this rediculously spam. I hope you're not as frustrated as my self. Anyway, good luck with your blog, and let me know if you have any ideas...

Thanks.

I was out looking for information on rashguard but found your post: Whatever happened to Damon's blog? to be far more interesting than what I was looking for. Quite a good job you're doing on your site here... I'm thinking about making a blog about rashguard I want to make it look like yours here. If you have any tips or secrets maybe you could share :)

It was great to visit your blog, thanks.

A whole array of anti-obesity pills and medicines are available in the market that helps you to trigger off successful weight loss but the weight loss diet pill Xenical is somewhat different as it prevents around 30% of the fat you take from being absorbed in your system. This further leads to less fat accumulation and ultimately weight loss becomes a reality. For more details on Xenical, visit the website http://www.weight-loss-truths.com
